Well, I could take no more! PART 2.

Roz here.

In continuance of my first posting, let's now look at the word "Metro" in the title of this blog. In this particular case, it's in referrence to the "Metro-Louisville" area, where I move about, work, dwell and seek entertainment. This, of course, includes my home-town, New Albany, Indiana.

Now, here's what I can't take anymore: Politics as usual.
Specifically, the same, old representation in District Two, on the NA City Council.
NOTE: BS (his initials)

Thusly, I now plead to all who are reading: PLEASE give us some more/different Democratic candidates for this position!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you...I feel a bit better...see NA Confidential for great coverage of NA City Council goings on.

Roz

Well, I could take no more!

To all in the blogosphere: Hello!

My name is Russell Tate, Jr. All of my friends (and even those who aren't) call me "Roz."
It's a nickname that was created by my friend Kevin Dougherty in 1977, in reference to my budding guitar playing abilities and one "Boz" Scaggs. Anyhow, it stuck, so please feel free to call me "Roz."

The title of this blog, "Summa Rozorix," or "Everything (King) Roz," is in reference to many things: Firstly, it is a combination of two ancient languages which stem from an even-earlier Indo-European language. The two in question are Latin (Summa..."all, everything") and Continental Celtic, or Gallic, (the suffix 'orix,' meaning "king"). These, in turn, are in referrence to my love of history and all things Celtic (and the fact that I alone reign as King of this here blog!).

Let me now focus on the word "Summa," for a moment. This blog will not just be "all Roz, all the time." It will be about everything relevant today, and historically, including: Local, state and national politics, all genres of music, arts and of course, food and drink. It will sometimes just be silly, because I need that! Mostly, I hope it's a place for rational, peaceful exchanges of ideas and, when possible, fun.

There will be NO annonymous postings!!! If you're going to post here, have a pair (of something)!

Otherwise, hello again and welcome!!

Roz Tate
